When the mind falls into shadow and the heart feels abandoned by itself,
a quiet ache rises—
what is that lovelessness…
from not knowing or simply forgetting the one true companion who never leaves: awareness.
(Summon forth every moment of recollecting. Summon forth from within).
Don’t leave the “me” in this wandering mind, lost in storms of thought.
Don’t leave the “me” out in the rain of old habits and unexamined pain.
Return, awareness— return and bring back the clear sky again, where all begun.
The nights feel unkind when mindfulness is absent.
But when resting inside presence, even sorrow softens into something workable, something human, something free.
Unbreak mind— not by changing the outside world, but by remembering the world was never the wound.
The wound is in not knowing,
the Four Mindfulnesses: body, feeling, mind, dharma and forgetting.
These are the arms that hold.
Unbind this hurt born from losing the thread of simple knowing.
Uncry these tears that were shed because of believing the mind’s stories more than knowing the mind’s true nature.
Take back the word “goodbye” spoken in lovelessness delusion from awareness.
Bring back the joy that arises when sitting and seeing clearly.
Don’t leave the “me” here with these unexamined thoughts—
embrace this pain with the warmth of mindful attention.
Time is unkind when awareness is not present.
Life can be cruel when awareness forgets the luminous stillness that is there, and walks with the heart through even in sorrow.
Unbreak mind— return, awareness.
Undo the hurt that came from believing of an “I” that was alone.
Unbreak mind— not by erasing pain, but by illuminating it from within.
Don’t leave a “me” in this storm of not recognising.
Bring back the awareness when the “I” rests in the spaciousness of simple being.
Unbreak mind— let love in awareness again and again. Let the “me” return to the truth that never left.
Without mindfulness, awareness cannot be free. With mindfulness, even heartbreak becomes a path.
Say that you know the awareness in the “me”. Say that you see that awareness in the “me”. Say that awareness is here— and the breaking of the illusion of attaching to the “me” will allow the unbroken mindfulness to be inner seen.
